The session started promisingly but became overwhelmingly bitter despite progressively cooler water. Some kombu aroma returned when steep 4 cooled, but the tea was effectively exhausted by the fourth steep.
Dry aroma: Umami/gurih and nutty
Wet aroma: Kombu with nutty undertones
Taste: Steep 1 was nearly flat when hot, with grassiness and umami emerging as it cooled. Steep 2 became more bitter; steep 3 was dominated by bitterness; steep 4 largely collapsed.
Finish: Sweet entry followed by bitterness at the throat and swallow; unpleasant aftertaste even after cooling
