Enjoyable daily white tea that needed about three steeps to open. The rinse record is contradictory: the live note called the first extraction a rinse, while the later corrected summary treated it as steep 1 with no rinse. A new gaiwan was used, but its exact identity was not confirmed.
Wet aroma: Aroma lifted in steep 6
Taste: Steep 1 nearly flavorless; steep 2 sweet dried date; steep 3 Laochen Mei-like; steeps 4–5 medicinal, woody and wet-wood; steep 6 weak
Mouthfeel: Salivation and warmth from steep 2; moist throat coating by steep 4, but thinner than the 10-year Shou Mei benchmark
Finish: Old-medicinal and woody retronasal note; little evolution after steep 4
